Beyond Breath has deliberately avoided the limitation of a brick-and-mortar location allowing for flexibility to serve the greatest breadth of people and communities by bringing programs that include yoga, meditation, breath work, life coaching, support groups and workshops directly to the them. Serving others and creating a safe community space is a priority. Beyond Breath programs are completely judgement free and truly available to everyone. You are always welcome here.
Meet Karen and Robert!
Karen has had a lifelong passion for fitness and wellness. She is an accomplished runner (5 marathons), mini triathlete, natural body builder, power lifter, obstacle course racer and former personal trainer with a 25 year+ successful corporate career as a leader and executive where her greatest satisfaction came in helping others to achieve results, they didn’t think themselves capable of. In 2007 she discovered yoga through a digital training program called P90X (remember Tony Horton?). She was immediately impressed with the physical intensity of the practice yet deeply curious about how each session left her feeling more calm and serene. Why? She began taking classes in a studio and her thirst for knowledge only intensified. Since Karen has become extensively trained in yoga, breathwork, meditation and more. She has over 1,000hrs of formal trainings including Baptiste Certifications, Adaptive Yoga training, Yin Yoga, Advanced Anatomy and Vipassana meditation to name a few. Giving back and helping others has always been important to Karen. During COVID quarantine in 2020, she provided over 200 hours of free online yoga reaching folks internationally to support them in staying active, connected and as stress free as possible. She has also developed and facilitated women’s workshops (Real Authentic Women RAW) to help guide women on their own personal journey of self exploration to help raise awareness of societal taming and familial conditioning by encouraging women to do the work to find what truly makes them happy and supporting them to take the steps necessary to achieve it. It is, and in some ways has always been, her mission to help others find and protect their inner peace.
Robert’s mindfulness journey began in 2015 after Karen introduced him to the gift of yoga. He immediately embraced all aspects of yoga philosophy while honing his own personal practice ultimately completing his yoga instructor certification (RYT 200) in 2019. Being in a constant state of learning, additional trainings include Adaptive Yoga training, Yoga Anatomy and completion of a 10-day silent Vipassana meditation course to name a few. Having been successful helping others live their best professional lives in the corporate world for over 30 years, naturally using a “servant” leadership style, he is now following his true passion with Karen to better serve others by sharing the tools of yoga, meditation and other mindfulness techniques to help reduce suffering allowing for more happiness, peace and harmony in people’s lives.
